More information about insurance law
Insurance law is technical and nearly always depends on interpretation of particular policies.
The Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth) assists policyholders’ interests, but it has also made insurance law more complicated.
There are several reference books in the field. Readers are specifically referred to:
- The Australian and New Zealand Insurance Reporter (CCH Australia Ltd); and
- Pynt’s Australian Insurance Law: A First Reference, 3rd edition (LexisNexis).
These publications are detailed and up-to-date sources of information.
