A message from the CEO – October 2025

As always, it has been a busy and impactful time at Fitzroy Legal Service as we continue to support our clients and community. I’m delighted to share with you some highlights of the incredible work our team has achieved over the last few months.

In this edition of FLS eNews, you’ll find updates from across the organisation, including on our statement on the racist ‘March for Australia’ protests, the appointment of our new Q+Law Director, a visit from a delegation of the Japanese Bar, our appearance before the public housing inquiry hearing coupled with our ongoing support for the residents affected by the public housing towers redevelopment and some important Board news.

The FLS team is also busy working on a number of exciting events and milestones for the remainder of the year, including our annual report, annual general meeting, refreshing our strategic plan and launching the latest edition of the Law Handbook.

We continue to provide legal support to the most marginalised members of our communities and to fight for a fairer legal system. Any assistance you can provide makes a difference and helps us facilitate access to justice.

Find out more HERE or email supporter@fls.org.au.

Kind regards
Hamish McLachlan
